About me

Having been through a lot the past couple of years due to my health I have decided to start this blog for you guys to read and share. I'm 22 years old and I have Autonomic Disfunction in my tummy, also known as Intestine Failure; This means that my nerves are slowly dying. My intestines, bowel and bladder (Fowlers Syndrome) are no longer working properly, which causes me to be in pain all the time and suffer from terrible nausea. I have also been diagnosed with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome. This means that when I stand up from sitting, I get terrible dizziness and often means sometimes I faint. I have definitely been on a roller coster over the past months and I feel that, if I share these moments with everyone, I hope I can help other people with their own difficult situations. I'm no specialist for illnesses or medications however, I have learnt from my past experiences and I have many words to share. Within last year, in total I have spent 15 weeks in hospital, and I definitely have a lot of memories that I believe that would help others.

I have a JEC tube (tube into my intestine for nutrition support) and, I currently require some help with some other tasks too however, I believe that if you fall, you must pick yourself up and keep going. Anything that's thrown in your face you must not let it beat you and always be a warrior! Even at the hardest of times, you must keep your chin up and always believe that you can keep trooping on! My moto is to never give up!

By starting this blog all I want to do is help and support one another out there who are in a similar position as me. I know that everyone has a different story, but one thing I do know is that it is very isolating. I hope that by sharing my story, people will feel that they are not alone. If we support one another in difficult times, as a whole we can help each other. We mustn't let hard times push us into a corner, instead we must keep pushing on! Sharing and supporting is a very precious and valuable thing that we must all  treasure. Even if i can help one person from this, it would mean so much! x
